INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Information technology(IT) is tasked with processing, storing and communication of information e.g. computers, mobile phones, PDAs. Geographical effects have been widespread as the advances in IT have begun to dramatically change behavior e.g. working from home, reducing business trips, shopping from home
Information technology is taking the world and squeezing it inside the computer, making it small and making it more manageable . It smoothies life of individual and the world as a whole as it reduces work load. Imagen if people were to keep all file records in their offices. How were they going to manage them, how much space was going to be needed to accommodate those files, how many people were going required to write those records, what if those files go missing, what was going to be a back up for those files?
Indeed information technology is the support or the pillar of the present nation. If this department was not there, then communication between continents was going to be difficult if not impossible at all. Computers, phones and other sources of Information technology connects people throughout the world. It does not only connects people but it also connects planets in this universe. Some people believe that aliens have better technology than the human race. If that so,one can imagine their world and how everything is possible. I believe the information technology sector is working on to implement sources that are believed to be used by aliens as to make everything also possible in the world.
Information technology equip students with the information that can help improve their future lives. Today almost every school have computers and students are been taught how to operate them. What I believe is that we are moving to the times where no paper will be used anymore to write documents but the tool of writing being computers and phones only or maybe something more advanced than them, who knows what might come up!

IT professionals perform a variety of functions (IT Disciplines/Competencies) that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. A few of the duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as management and administration of entire systems
Even though the information technology is wide spread the whole world there are some countries which are left behind in this sector and those that are leading in this sector. This may be because of the level of development in different countries. Below is a video which reviews about information technology the whole world.

MULTIMEDIA

Multimedia is the use of computers to present text, graphics, video, animation, and sound in an integrated way.

Multimedia is usually recorded and played, displayed or accessed by information content processing devices, such as computerized and electronic devices, but can also be part of a live performance. Multimedia (as an adjective) also describes electronic media devices used to store and experience multimedia content. Below are some of the examples of multimedia

                                             ANIMATION

MOVIE MAKING

                                                            MUSIC

                                                   PHONES

The power of multimedia and the Internet lies in the way in which information is linked.

COMPUTERS,ONE OF THE GREATEST INVENTORY IN THE WORLD

This is the first computer to be invented in the world and parts of this computer can still be found at the London Science Museum. This was known as the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer. One of the greatest inventory in history of Information Technology. The first idea about computer was initiated by an English mathematician, philosopher, inventor, and mechanical engineer, Charles Babbage. He came about with this idea in effort to try to eliminate errors that were committed while calculating various equations using logarithmic tables"I am thinking that all these logarithmic tables might be calculated by machinery." - Charles Babbage.
It was John Presper Eckert & John W. Mauchly who invented the first computer and electronically. They built the ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer).
The Universal Automatic Computer or UNIVAC was another computer milestone achieved by Dr. J. Presper Eckert and Dr. John W. Mauchly.  After the times of these two great inventors a lot of computers of different kinds were made by different people. Computers like the following an Automatic electronic computer. What followed there after was a series of different computers.

In the present time the computers are now modified and they look more beautiful and they are more advanced. There are a lot of different desktop computers used in offices and homes. Now these computers are used for almost every thing and almost everyone have a computer. They are used for official purposes, home purposes, game purposes, servicing purposes, manufacturing purposes, destruction purposes to illegal practices. Below is some of the present computers.

Its so amazing how computers developed to today s' generation. Today we see computers with everything inbuilt and they are touch screens. Portable computers that can be carried arround also exist in the present an they are also advancing with the passing of time.

Nowadays the technology about computers is just so advanced that even  computerized cellular phones are designed.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY S' POPULAR HEAD LINES.

Chrome Browser Now a Snap for IT to Deploy

Google says new management controls makes deploying the Chrome browser in the enterprise a breeze.

Most users may not give a lot of thought to the browser they use as long as it gets them where they want to go on the Web. But after years of Microsoft's Internet Explorer thoroughly dominating the browser scene, the release of innovative new browsers has led a growing number of users to experiment and, in many cases, switch.
One of those new offerings is Google's Chrome browser. Designed to run the latest Web apps and services, Chrome is a key part of Google's cloud computing strategy, which ranges from consumer to enterprise-grade solutions.
Now, as Datamation reports, Google has released new features designed to greatly simplify the process of distributing Chrome in the enterprise without requiring users to abandon whatever browser they already use.

Firefox 4 Beta 9 now out fixing 661 bugs.

Mozilla today officially released Firefox 4 Beta 9 and it's a big improvement over previous betas and a parsec beyond the Firefox 3.6.x experience.

At this stage, after months of development, Mozilla developers are clearly nearing the end of this development marathon. If this had been Google, the 9 Betas would like have been broken up in to 5 (or more) stable releases -- there are just so many new features.
For Beta 9, by my count of the bug list, there are some 661 items that were fixed for this beta.
